In our latest Oregon Market Trends Report for the first quarter of 2022, we explore the sharp increase in job postings that the local tech industry is experiencing. With employers posting 412,000 new job openings nationally for core tech occupations in March 2022, which is an increase of nearly 29,000 job postings since February.
This is the first time the number of monthly job postings has ever surpassed 400,000. The monthly average in 2021 was 300,000 per month, with Oregon posting 41,900 of those occupations.
