The Silicon Slopes have produced more tech degrees per capita than San Francisco, Denver, or Boston at a rate of 5,300 tech degree graduates a year. As a result, the total tech talent has grown 42.7% over the past 5 years. These students are graduating from in-town schools like Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University, and immediately looking for their next career move. Luckily, as of April 2021, there were close to 8,200 tech businesses in the state which makes up about 11.5% of the economy.
