James joined ProFocus Technology in 2016 and brings nearly two decades of executive leadership across private and nonprofit organizations. He oversees our business operations and company strategy, and has helped grow ProFocus into a national and global operation. Under his leadership, ProFocus has been named to the Inc. 500 and recognized as one of the Best Companies to Work For in Oregon. In 2025, James was named to the Portland Business Journal’s 40 Under 40. He holds an undergraduate business degree from Portland State University and an MBA from the University of Oregon’s Executive MBA program.

James has a deep passion for nonprofit work and giving back to the local community. He serves as President of the University of Oregon Executive MBA Alumni Board and Treasurer of the SIM (Society for Information Management) Portland Chapter. He also hosts the Silicon Forest Tech Connect Series and is an active member of TechServe Alliance. He previously served as Treasurer and then Board Chair of a Portland nonprofit dedicated to preventing domestic violence.

Personally, James can be spotted in Tualatin enjoying life with his wife and their five children. As a family, they share a passion for travel, games, and spending time with friends. Their free time is filled with football, pickleball, softball, golf, poker, and board games, whether they’re playing or watching.
